Almost Book 5 (I gave it my best shot)


I make my money as a web developer at a tech security company. I chase my passions as a director for the Dallas Junior Chamber of Commerce Foundation. Over the last couple of years I've come to love this city, and I want to see it be as great as it can be. Why am I here?

    Well, I'm glad you read it so I don't have to. Just from what you described, it sounds like he would argue that any technology that gives you access to preaching can be used to replace a church, in which case why not TV or radio or books? If you will forgive me for butchering Screwtape Letters, one of the biggest mistakes a human makes is forgetting that we are physical, that form makes a difference to how we think. And I don't know anyone who doesn't want a physical connection to coincide with an emotional one.

    On the flip side of this argument is a book called "So You Don't Want To Go To Church Anymore." I don't know if you have read it but it is fascinating, easy to read, and thoroughly engrossing. It is also quite wrong on one of its fundamental assertions but I won't spoil that for you. It's free to read at the author's website (, if you haven't already seen it, that is.
