The Victim: Our Modern Hero

Charles

I make my money as a web developer at a tech security company. I chase my passions as a director for the Dallas Junior Chamber of Commerce Foundation. Over the last couple of years I've come to love this city, and I want to see it be as great as it can be. Why am I here?

Charles, I don’t know you and I’ve never heard of you, but this is gold. You’ve tapped into something that’s been going on for a while now, but that I’ve been unable to properly communicate. The culture of victimhood is a very real thing (despite what spellcheck is telling me right now), and it’s root causes are deep and tangled up. As someone not dramatically younger than you (high school graduate in 2007), I’m incredibly curious to see what the younger folks will be like before long. In just a few years, the first crop of kids that were born after the year 2000 will begin to turn 18 and go off to college, and they’ll officially start to become a part of society. Keep doing what you’re doing, and I’ll do my best to see that more people read this article.

    Keep it up, my friend.
