52 Books in 52 Weeks

It's a great meme, and I've been trying to popularize it. I first read about it on Jason Toney's "Negro, Please" blog (which hops around servers and is chronically down), who I believe got it from a 2003 or 2004 effort of Largehearted Boy.

A lot of the efforts seem sporadic, and of course it's difficult to keep it going when you've got real life concerns and can't read a book a week or more (I just have no social life to speak of, which comes in handy sometimes).

    Good luck.

Sometimes I wish I had less of a real life.

My challenge in keeping up will be reading while getting enough sleep to survive the semester. But I've spent my time in worse ways…

I get to witness firsthand, people's reading habits.

I am lucky to read one or two books a month, depending on the material.

I can go through fiction much faster, but most of it is junk, as far as I'm concerned. (like tv) If I spent less time on blogs, I could read more books. There are pros and cons to blogs vs books.

My challenge should be to read more bible. (I've become a fan of the Scriptorium Daily and John Dyer, thank you very much!)
